First Congregational Church of Orange City United Church of Christ

Come And Join Us

These are challenging times we live in, but we place our trust and our hope in the Lord. We would love to have you come and join us as we explore what it means to be a Christian in today’s world. We are a small congregation with a big heart and have been serving our community in Volusia County since 1883. As a congregation affiliated with the United Church of Christ, we embrace its motto, ‘No matter who you are or where you are on life’s journey, you are welcome here!” We are committed to its long tradition of proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ, engaging in missions both locally and beyond, and advocating for social justice.

The United Church of Christ was formed through the merger of four denominations in 1957, with our Congregational heritage dating back to the time of the Reformation; and has long been at the forefront of social change. We were the first to ordain an Africa-America, (1785), a woman, (1853), and gays and lesbians, (1972).

We open our doors to local outreach groups, such as Sisters in Sobriety, Sobriety First, and Grateful Group; and we share our facilities with a Spanish-speaking congregation, “Iglesia Pentecostal Casa De Restauracion Inc.”

Whether you are a devoted Christian, or someone looking for answers, we invite you to come and join us for worship and fellowship. Our Sunday service begins at 10:30 am.

” No matter who you are, or where you are on life’s journey, you are welcome here.”
